Progress Report

Students who have passed their preliminary exams are required to meet annually with their Thesis Committee to discuss their progress and receive advice and suggestions from their committee. Each year, these meetings must be scheduled by May 31 and completed by August 31 at the latest. Failure to do so may result in a hold being placed on the student’s registration. At these meetings a Progress Report form should be completed, signed by the Thesis Committee members and submitted to the Biophysics Office. Prior to the meeting, students should write a 1-2 page summary of aims that they accomplished, results found, and future plans for the next year. This summary should be distributed to the committee 2 days prior to the meeting. A copy of this document should be attached to the form.
