The goal of the seminar requirement is to give each student training and experience in oral presentations. Students are required to give an oral presentation beginning the second year of the Biophysics Program and each year thereafter. Students who have not yet reached dissertator status must take the Biophysics Seminar course (Chem 872). Dissertators may continue to enroll in the Biophysics Seminar, or they may enroll in a seminar course that relates to their area of research after consulting with their Thesis Advisor. Students must be enrolled in a seminar course every Fall and Spring semester in which they are enrolled.
